Wired intercoms for motorcycles have been available for many years, and can provide effective rider-pillion interaction. The more sophisticated versions can also attach to mobile phones and radios, providing longer-range communication, including bike-to-bike. The downside of all these systems is the nuisance, complexity, and potential unreliability of all of those plugs and sockets, especially when exposed to the elements and rough handling we all experience on a bike. The additional cost of appropriate interface cables for all the accessory items can also be a problem.
Imagine the convenience if you could achieve everything you need with a low cost, completely self-contained wireless unit that simply attaches to any kind of helmet in minutes and gives fantastic audio performance. Through the technical mystery of 'Bluetooth' this is now possible.
Based on a high-performance specification developed for a major motorcycle manufacturer who wanted 'the world's best intercom’, in partnership with Cellular Italia - a major producer of mobile phone accessories and Bluetooth headsets, the original 'Interphone' has been available in the UK for over 3 years.
Interphone is now available in three versions, Interphone F4, Interphone F3 Passenger and Interphone F2 City.
